Philip Alston, Rebecca Riddell, and Bassam Khawaja

Philip Alston is a tenured professor at New York University (NYU) and co-chair and faculty director of the Center for Human Rights and Global Justice. He is an international lawyer whose research and teaching interests focus primarily on human rights law and the law of international organizations. In 2014 and 2017, Philip was appointed as the UN Human Rights Council’s Special Rapporteur on extreme poverty and human rights.
