Camila is a DPhil candidate in Criminology at Oxford. Her doctoral research on abolition feminism explores community-based responses to gendered violence in the US. Prior to the DPhil, she completed her Masters in Criminology with distinction at Oxford and her Bachelor of Arts (Hons.) in International Relations at Brown University. While at Brown University, she co-founded the Transformative Justice Initiative and continues to organize around building non-carceral community-based safety and accountability practices.
