New OxHRH Blog Editor – Welcome Arushi Garg!

The OxHRH Blog is delighted to welcome Arushi Garg to the team as an Editor.

Arushi successfully completed the BA-LLB (Hons.) programme from NALSAR University of Law, India in 2013 with several academic honours, including the University gold medal for Constitutional Law. She finished reading the BCL in 2014 and is currently enroled in the M Phil in Law programme, researching criminal procedures in cases of sexual violence in India. She is supervised by Professor Carolyn Hoyle and Professor Lucia Zedner. Her research is supported by the Rhodes Scholarship.

Arushi has a strong interest in social justice issues, as reflected by her work in organisations including the Legal Resources Centre (Johannesburg), the Women’s Research and Action Group (Mumbai) and the Mazdoor Kisan Shakti Sangathan (Rajasthan). She is also Deputy Chairperson of the Oxford Pro Bono Publico, the graduate student pro bono wing of the Law Faculty.

In the past, she has served as an Associate Editor for the Oxford University Commonwealth Law Journal and Editor for the Environmental Law and Practice Review. She is fluent in both English, Hindi.
