Event: Revenge Porn: The New Law

Panel to include:

  • Chrissy, a victim of revenge pornography
  • Professors Clare McGlynn and Erika Rackley, experts on pornography law, who worked with EVAW and Rape Crisis on the ‘stop rape porn’ campaign
  • Dr Ann Olivarius, experienced litigator who represents victims of revenge porn
  • Sarah Green, Acting Director of the End Violence Against Women Coalition

In the summer of 2013, actor and singer Chrissy received a message from one of her fans warning that pornographic videos of her were being distributed online. To her horror, Chrissy discovered that the videos had been online for a year and a half and had been uploaded by a bitter ex-boyfriend. Since then, Chrissy has been fighting for justice and now wants to raise awareness by sharing her story.
