Prof Davina Cooper, Law & Political Theory, University of Kent asks: What kind of world would you like to live in?

by | Oct 31, 2014

What kind of world would you like to live in? In many countries of the global north, where pragmatism has replaced idealism, and resignation has replaced action, there is an ever greater need to imagine our worlds otherwise. Critique, resistance and opposition are important political strategies. Small scale initiatives and reforms make life better for some. But, if you could live in a different world, oriented to equality and social justice, what would it be like?

This call for “visions” was started by Antu Sorainen, exploring what new queer visions for our worlds and societies might be like. The original contributions are included in the post. Comments from people in different countries have been added below.

Please add your vision of the world, worlds or society you would like to live in.
