Call for abstracts: OxHRHGraduateWorkshop– for MPhil / DPhil students working on Human Rights
The Oxford Human Rights Hub is pleased to announce a half-dayGraduateWorkshopfor MPhil and DPhil students working on human rights at Oxford University. Theworkshopwill bring together a network ofgraduatestudents and academics across various disciplines with a focus on human rights.
MPhil and DPhil students are invited to submit a draft chapter or other piece of writing for feedback from an academic discussant. The format at theWorkshopwill be as follows: students will be asked to present briefly on their written work or research overview(5-10 mins). The discussant will then give oral comments on the writing submitted (up to 10 mins). The floor will then be open for further comments and questions.
This is an invaluable opportunity forgraduateresearch students to have their work-in-progress read and reviewed by an academic other than their supervisor. It is also a great opportunity to practise presenting your work – especially for those with upcoming assessments – and to gain useful feedback from peers and academics specialising in human rights. Students at all stages of MPhil or DPhil research are encouraged to participate.

How to apply: please email an abstract (up to c. 500 words) summarising the piece of written work you would like to be reviewed by a discussant to oxfordhumanrightshub@law.ox.ac.uk, using ‘Graduate Workshop’ in the subject line. The deadline for applications is midnight on Sunday 7 May.
