'Women and Poverty' Conference Begins 28 April 2014!

Our international conference ‘Women and Poverty: A Human Rights Approach’ begins in Kigali, Rwanda tomorrow.

The conference will be formally opened tomorrow morning, 28 April 2014, by the First Lady of Rwanda, Her Excellency, Madame Jeannette Kagame, with the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Rwanda Hon. Professor Sam Rugege, Professor Timothy Endicott, Dean of the Faculty of Law, University of Oxford, Ms Caroline Ojwang, International Academic Programmes, University of Cape Town and Professor Sandra Fredman, Rhodes Professor of the Law, University of Oxford.

We will be providing daily updates on the proceedings on Oxford Human Rights Hub Blog, including photos and audio recordings of proceedings.

This conference is hosted by the Oxford Human Rights Hub, in partnership with the Oxford Martin School’s Human Rights for Future Generations Programme, University of Cape Town, the University of Rwanda, and with the support of the Chief Justice Sam Rugege, Chief Justice of Rwanda.
